Bertie County, North
Carolina, includes
the eight incorporated townships of Askewville, Aulander, Colerain,
Kelford, Lewiston-Woodville, Powellsville, Roxobel and Windsor.
Bertie County is one of the largest counties in the state,
encompassing 741 square miles. In 1660, it was established as
a
part of Albemarle County, and became Bertie County in 1772.
